This process:
1) Controls waste and urine smells and allows waste to be easily removed and
2) no used litter left behind after scooping.

Like most litters, NeatyKitty cat litter is primarily composed of clay, a natural but non-biodegradable mineral found in the earth.

Pour 3-4 inches of NeatyKitty cat litter into your litter box. Scoop the solid waste daily and dispose of clumps in the trash.

For optimal performance, add enough NeatyKitty cat litter as necessary to maintain a 3-4 inch depth in your litter box.

We recommend using high-sided, rimmed or covered litter boxes.

• Most people prefer either a plastic or metal scooper.
• Make sure to choose a scooper that is wide enough to scoop large clumps.
• The holes in the scooper should also be small enough to ensure that no used litter gets left behind.

The amount of litter needed will depend on the frequency of litter box usage as well as the number of cats in the household.

Check these possible causes:

• Is there enough litter in the box? Be sure there are at least 3-4 inches of litter in the box. Initially, filling the box may require around 14 lbs. of litter or more.
• Are you topping off the box after scooping? Each time clumps of waste are removed from the litter tray, fresh litter must be added to the box to maintain a 3-4 inch depth.
• Are you mixing litters? Do not mix NeatyKitty clumping Litter with other types or brands as this will also inhibit clumping.

Always keep a clean litter box; remove your cat's waste on a daily basis and add fresh litter to maintain a 3-4 inch depth.

Finally, keep the litter box in open, well-ventilated areas.

We recommend using a high-sided, rimmed or covered litter box and placing a rug or mat around your litter box.

Over time, litter can absorb moisture and become lumpy if stored in a damp place in a store or home.

To prevent litter from getting lumpy, store your litter in a cool, dry place and keep it as airtight as possible.

Simply remove clumps and solid waste daily and dispose in the trash.

DO NOT FLUSH down the toilet. Once a month, empty the entire litter box and dispose in the trash.

Flushing can clog plumbing.

If you've recently switched to NeatyKitty cat litter, your cat may need a little time to adjust.

You can make the transition easier by sprinkling a thin layer of NeatyKitty cat litter clumping cat litter on top of the litter you normally use. Once your cat has acclimated, empty your litter box completely and refill it with NeatyKitty cat litter.

If it’s a onetime issue, treat the affected area with water, vinegar and mild soap and blot dry.

If it’s a repeated issue, consider moving your litter box, retraining your cat, or visiting the vet to make sure it’s not a medical issue.
